Over the past few weeks Primary Industry Trades Academy (PITA) students at Taratahi Agricultural Training Centre have been learning skills in stock handling, feed budgeting and finding faults in electric fences.

This week students were on Taratahi's work experience farm, Te Rata, where they were shown how to crutch a sheep. For most of these students, this was their first attempt at crutching. Pictured is Waitara High School student Jacinta Kete.
