"Plus there are plenty of spot prizes on offer as well," says Helen.
The team are still accepting donations for prizes suitable for quick fire raffles done on the day, for which tickets sell at a dollar each.
The Floral Art Society come in every year to make up the bunches of daffodils that are sold, says Mary, who explains the committee buy 800 daffodils a year, with the rest all donated.
The flowers sell at $7 a bunch and are always a popular item she adds. Helen says this year they are keen to hear from people who could help with picking the flowers before the day.
"The luncheon is always popular, it is an annual event for many people, with people arranging to meet with friends on the day."
Helen says that people who can't make it to the luncheon can still be part of the day, ordering their lunches as a packed lunch instead.
"We have whole offices who order so all their staff enjoy a Daffodil Day packed lunch on the day."
There is always plenty of Daffodil Day themed merchandise on sale at the luncheon, which is also taken to rest homes in the area in advance.
"Everyone loves the range on sale, there are plenty of items bought and put away for Christmas gifts each year."
The younger members of the community also get to enjoy their own fundraising event, with the Daffodil Disco set to be a popular night out.
