TWO artists with a shared enjoyment of the natural world but contrasting styles have combined for the latest exhibition at the Village Gallery in Eltham.
Lynda Newman from New Plymouth and Hawera's Frank Eustace have combined their skills for their exhibition Celebration of Nature.
Frank Eustace is a retired dairy farmer with a lifelong interest in art, becoming hooked on it at primary school.
His paintings in this exhibition include oils, oil pastels and acrylics. As well as local and national scenery, Frank has also included portraits, one of which is South Taranaki Mayor Ross Dunlop.
Lynda Newman's passion is painting _ either closeup views of plants, bird and insect life, or the wider Taranaki landscape.
Her chosen medium is acrylic on canvas.
Linda is a relief teacher in New Plymouth, with art as a specialist subject.
She is also extending her knowledge of painting, drawing and photography as an extramural student in her second year at The Learning Connexion in Lower Hutt.
Their joint exhibition is on at the Village Gallery in Eltham's High Street until April 25.
The gallery is open from 10am to 3pm Monday to Saturday.
