North Harbour Rugby Union chief executive Doug Rollerson yesterday announced his intention to step down, saying it was time for a change.
The former All Blacks player has agreed to stay on until March to allow the union time to find a replacement.
"I've enjoyed every minute of it, but six years is a long time in this kind of job," he said. "I just think it's time for a change, both for myself and the union."
Rollerson said he did not know yet what he would be doing after he left North Harbour.
