Manchester United and Chelsea are attempting to bring world footballer of the year Cristiano Ronaldo back to the English Premier League, a Spanish website claims.
Diario Gol is reporting that Ronaldo, who made his name under Alex Ferguson at Manchester United, is keen to return to the EPL from Real Madrid.
It said Ronaldo "maintained a love for Manchester United" where he won three titles before heading to Spain in 2009.
Chelsea are said to be keen particularly as Belgium star Eden Hazard may be signed by Real Madrid.
Ronaldo is reported to be house hunting in England, and his move there might be linked to a Spanish tax hearing last year.
