The secret to the unrivalled success of the New Zealand rowing pair of Hamish Bond and Eric Murray has finally been revealed - they're simply "better looking" than their competitors.
Commenting on the coxless pair's 68-race unbeaten streak, Murray joked that the blonds on the black boat put their incredible run down to their physical features.
"I think we're just better looking," Murray told the BBC.
He later tweeted that the assertion was "correct".
The tongue-in-cheek nature of the comment was made clear when a link to the story posted by Bond and Murray's Facebook page lamented the reporter "quoting everything".
