The ugly side of social media's been highlighted by South African tennis player Kevin Anderson following his opening round loss at Wimbledon.

The world number 25 says he's received death threats on Facebook and Twitter after blowing a two sets to love lead against Dennis Istomin.

Anderson says the abuse has come from people betting on the match.

He says he just has to take it and block users where possible, but you can't read too much into it.

Rain prevented 30 matches being completed on day two with more forecast for London tonight.
