British boxing promoter Eddie Hearn is ramping up the chances of Joseph Parker challenging Anthony Joshua for his world heavyweight crown.
Hearn was impressed with Parker's 12 round unanimous points decision against Carlos Takam and thinks the Kiwi heavyweight will excite British boxing audiences.
"He just beat Carlos Takam who is a good fighter, he's an avoided fighter and for someone who's not a novice, but a relatively inexperienced fighter, that was a good solid win and I think the Parker/Joshua fight will end up being a big fight," Hearn said.
Parker fights Solomon Haumono on July 21 in Christchurch while Joshua will defend his IBF title five days later against Dominic Breazeale.
