The Bay of Plenty Rugby Union have announced today that New Zealand Sevens players Isaac Te Aute and Joe Webber have signed with the union.
Te Aute has signed for 2016 and 2017, with Webber signing for 2016.
The 19-year-old Te Aute stamped his mark on the national scene this year, captaining the Rotorua Boys' High School First XV to a national Top 4 schools title, before being selected by Sir Gordon Tietjens for the All Blacks Sevens squad.
Webber has had an outstanding representative rugby career thus far, including selection in the New Zealand Schools, New Zealand U20s, Maori All Blacks and All Blacks Sevens. Webber was selected last week in the All Blacks Sevens squad for the first two tournaments of the HBSC World Series in Dubai and Cape Town.
Mike Rogers, Bay of Plenty Rugby Union chief executive, said: "It is great to be able to secure our local talent to represent the Bay.
