Canterbury wing Johnny McNicholl will make his comeback from a broken leg to play in the top-of-the-table clash against Wellington on Saturday.

McNicholl suffered his injury while playing for the Crusaders in the Super Rugby competition and replaces Miford Keresoma on the left wing for the match at Westpac Stadium.

Canterbury team to play Wellington at Westpac Stadium on Saturday, kick-off 5.35pm is: Colin Slade, Patrick Osborne, Adam Whitelock, Ryan Crotty, Johnny McNicholl, Tyler Bleyendaal, Willi Heinz, Luke Whitelock, Matt Todd, George Whitelock (c), Matt Symons, Luke Katene, Nepo Laulala, Corey Flynn, Joe Moody. Reserves: Ben Funnell, Paea Fa'anunu, Joel Everson, Jordan Taufua, Andy Ellis, Rob Thompson, Milford Keresoma.
