One of Donald Trump's top priorities when he begins his new job is to can the TPP and I read that the rich of New Zealand are upset because they won't be able to improve their greediness for the dollars.
However in my view this is great news for the 90 per cent in the middle and the 5 per cent of us at the bottom. We will have a chance to make a little money to live in New Zealand. We can say this is our land. We can celebrate the choice to live in New Zealand. Shouldn't that be the overriding concern for us?
We should be able to make a living, to support one another and live a happy life in New Zealand. Don't get me wrong we need trade and we need to be able to compete in the market but not to the extent that we give our livelihood away off-shore.
New Zealand is too small. We cannot compete against the giants of the world market. We will get bullied and New Zealanders will leave these fair shores. Then New Zealand like America will be a land of immigrants. Go Donald Trump, do all the good things you promised and make America great again.
