HEAR IT: A new compilation of Disney covers features our very own Jordi Webber. We Love Disney features New Zealand and Australian artists singing cartoon classics (as well as a couple from High School Musical and Enchanted). Jordi and Titanium contribute You'll Be in My Heart from Tarzan, while every little girl's favourite Let It Go is sung by The McClymonts.
DOWNLOAD IT: Crossy Road is like a 3D version of Frogger, and if you know what we're talking about you're showing your age. Hop to it as you try to traverse endless lanes of busy highway without getting squashed. Probably more satisfying than (the infuriating and frustrating) Flappy Bird, you can earn coins to spend on new characters to play as.
WATCH IT: You'd think with the weather warming up that Santa would prefer a singlet and jandals, but chances are when he flies in for today's Rotorua Christmas Parade he'll be in his furry red suit and boots. You can catch the fun from noon in the central city - just follow the crowds if you don't know where to go, and be aware of road closures in the area.
RENT IT: What is this world coming to? Well if you've followed the ape saga from its beginnings you'll know exactly what Earth is destined for. This latest reboot prequel, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, follows the story once Caesar and his not-so-merry band of apes come into contact with roving human survivors of a Simian flu epidemic.
READ IT: Dennis Lehane's gritty novels often translate well to the big screen, but his latest book, The Drop, is actually an adaptation of the film of the same name. Unlike the movie, the book is set in Lehane's own hometown of Boston, the scene of many of his novels including Mystic River and the Kenzie-Gennaro series.
