The Rotorua community is being called on to help celebrate three years of the Rotorua Night Market.
On March 14, the night market will celebrate its third birthday and members of the public are invited to go and enjoy the party on Tutanekai St from 5pm.
There will be entertainment by Murray Clark and friends, as well as plenty of activities for children to enjoy including jugglers, clowns, face painting, a bouncy castle and lucky dips.
Rotorua Night Market manager Brigitte Nelson said she wanted to give something back to the community to thank them for their support over the past few years - but she also encouraged them to continue to support the event.
"If we do things that involve the community, that creates a social experience," she said.
Ms Nelson said the market had been a success but she wanted to see more locals take advantage of it by marketing their own talents and skills.
She urged locals to consider their own talents and look towards selling goods they have created or services they can provide at the market.
"It's a wonderful way to make an income."
She said people could also join together to offer services.
Ms Nelson was happy to help people or talk to them about ways they could get started.
Meanwhile, at the third birthday celebrations, there will also be competitions and prizes to be won.
To help celebrate the night market's birthday, MoreFM 95.9 will run a Music Mash Up competition and those who got the three songs correct could be in to win a power credit.
Also up for grabs will be cash, a heat pump, a digital Freeview receiver, a guitar and more.
