Aucklander Cassie Roma's dream came true a fortnight ago when she was welcomed on stage at an Elton John concert.
The self-proclaimed 'super-fan' has been to 21 of Elton John concert's in 21 years, but had dreamed of gracing the stage with him since she was 14 years old.
That dream was realised on February 22 when Roma and her wife Carly bought third row tickets to his show at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
"If you are in the front five rows and he is feeling up to it, then there is the possibility that you can go up on stage," Roma said.
"I was there two years ago, but was in row six so I missed it by one row and literally my heart broke - so my wife got me these tickets."
The couple were told that when Elton John sang Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting, they were welcome to take the stage - along with approximately 200 other fans.
"It was amazing. It was literally my lifelong dream since I was about 14to go on stage with Elton and play the tambourine," Roma said.
"I didn't bring my tambourine this time, but the second we saw Saturday Night was coming up I don't even remember getting up to the stage. I think I just flew up there or floated."
As a true super-fan would, Roma made her way to the front of the crowd and stood at the base of the piano while Elton John performed.

"It was literally Elton, one woman and then myself. I was that close," she said.
"I remember looking around and every single person was on their cellphones, I couldn't believe it. Every single one was recording and taking selfies.
"I took one selfie and one short video then I put my phone in my pocket and was the only person for the entire song making eye contact with him and singing the song with him.
"He started pulling faces at me which was fricken' hilarious. For me, as a super fan, I think he could tell it was a dream moment."
Roma said the moment is one she will cherish always, and she was astounded when news broke yesterday of a fan disrupting Elton John's performance during another show at Caesars Palace.
Elton John released a statement on Twitter which detailed the altercation.
"Thursday night in Las Vegas a fan put his hands on the piano keys while I was playing and continued to do so even after I asked him to stop," the statement said.
"He then proceeded to reach over the piano and try to take pictures, completely disrupting the performance.
"I bring fans onstage every evening when we play Saturday Night in the set, it is always a lovely part of the show where I get to meet them, shake their hands and have them right there with me while I play.
"They have always been very courteous to the fact we are in the middle of playing a song live. This guy was rude, disruptive and had no care or respect for our show and so I let him know how I felt, then left the stage until they had removed him."
Roma said she was "ticked off" about the fan's actions.
"I have seen Elton so many times and met him throughout the years and he is older, so to think somebody would be audacious enough to touch his piano and mess with him, it could ruin it for everyone," she said.
"It could have stopped that dream for a lot of people, because it is not usual for someone of Elton's generation to invite their fans on stage."
Roma couldn't explain why she was such a "super-fan", but said she fell in love with Elton John when came out.
"I was a young pre-teen about that time so it was a perfect storm of and I played the piano and was in the marching band.
