Christchurch police have arrested seven people following a group attack outside a local Burger King store.
Police rushed to the store on Main North Road in Belfast around 5pm last night following reports of disorder.
"Inquiries indicate that one person has been assaulted by a group,'' police said.
They said the incident was between parties who were known to each other.
The seven people apprehended by police were aged between 20 and 55 and would appear in the Christchurch District Court over the next week charged with rioting.
