Police divers from Wellington have called off a planned river search for missing Pahiatua woman Elizabeth Udy.
High water levels at the Mangatainoka River were cited as the reason for calling off the dive on Thursday morning.
Udy, also known as Lizzie, was first reported missing on October 11.
Police believe she may have entered the Mangatainoka River by the Pahiatua Town Bridge.
Tararua and Manawatu-based LandSAR volunteers have assisted emergency services in the search on land and sea for over two weeks, using kayaks and a drone.
Udy, 45, was described as Caucasian, of slim build, and about 155cm tall. She was wearing a nightgown when last seen.
She was not believed to have had access to a vehicle.
Police urged people in the Pahiatua area to remain vigilant and report any further information about Udy to police.
The dive search would attempt to search the river on Monday, October 30 depending upon the water level.
