Motorists in and around West Auckland are being warned to expect delays this afternoon following the closure of a major motorway on-ramp after an earlier crash.
Authorities have closed off the Lincoln Road on-ramp this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the area after reports of a crash between a car and a ute on a northbound lane of the north-western motorway just after 1.30pm.
One person suffered moderate injuries in the crash, the Fire Service said, while two others sustained minor injuries.
Fire Service spokesman Jaron Phillips said there was a large amount of debris - understood to be large rocks - on the road, which needed to be cleared.
The NZ Transport Agency alerted motorists via its Twitter page: "Expect major delays and avoid area if possible.''
