Man saves life by jumping from moving truck in Hawke's Bay

A man has narrowly escaped with his life after he leapt from his moving truck which then crashed and rolled to a stop.

The man, in his 50s, jumped from his vehicle on the Napier-Taihape Rd near Kuripapango around 11am today. The truck hit a steep bank and rolled.

The man was flown by the Lowe Corporation Rescue Helicopter to Hawke's Bay Hospital with multiple injuries. He is in a stable condition.
