A person was thrown out of their car after a crash in Warkworth.
Emergency services were called to an incident on SH1 at the south end of the Pohuehue Viaduct bridge this evening.
The crash involved a single vehicle. The sole occupant appeared to have been thrown from the car but is not believed to have serious injuries.
One lane of the road is closed, and traffic controls are in place.
Motorists are advised to expect delays, particularly if they are southbound. The traffic is particularly heavy en route to Auckland as people head home after the weekend.
