Police are looking for a man who could be connected to a vicious assault in central Auckland in the early hours of New Year's Day.
They have posted a series of photographs of a man on the Auckland City District Police Facebook page this morning appealing for information about a man seen in the area at the time of the assault.
The victim sustained a fractured eye socket and facial bruising in the attack which happened on Queen St at 3.30am on Sunday.
Police want to hear from anyone who knows or recognises the man or has information about the assault.
