Four people were lucky to walk away from a Whangarei crash unhurt, after their car crashed into a tree, rolled, then hit a parked car, which then struck a house.

The incident happened on Fairway Dr, between Grandfield Pl and Richmond St, in the suburb of Kamo, a police spokeswoman said.

Emergency services were called to the scene about 6.50pm.

When they arrived they found four people in shock, but otherwise unhurt, the police spokeswoman said.

"There doesn't appear to be any dramas or anything like that."

No one was trapped in the car.
