Police are hunting for two people after a man was robbed at knifepoint in Blenheim last night. The victim had been at the intersection of Scott and Stephenson Sts between 10 to 10.30pm when he was confronted by a man holding a knife.

It is understood he was robbed before a second man approached him from behind, hitting him and knocking him to the ground.

The victim suffered minor injuries.

Police said both offenders then ran down Stephenson St towards nearby Weld St.

Authorities are investigating the incident and are appealing to anyone with information in relation to the attack to come forward.

The first offender is thought to be in his 20s. He is of medium build and about 178cm tall. He had a full beard that was patchy on his cheeks and was wearing a grey hoodie and jeans.

Police said the second offender was taller than the other man involved. He had cropped hair and was of stockier build.

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have been in or near the area around the time of the attack, or who recognises the description of either offender.
