There have been two logging truck crashes in Northland this morning with police currently still at the scene of the latest rollover on SH12, north of Dargaville.

A logging truck which rolled on SH12, 4km north of the intersection of Babylon Coast Rd, about 9.43am, is partially blocking the road.

Police at the scene are allowing light vehicles and cars through slowly. However, southbound heavy vehicles on SH12 are being diverted through Openaki Rd.

Northbound heavy vehicles on SH12 are being stopped and will have to wait until the scene has been cleared. Truckies are being advised to avoid travelling north on SH12.

While police attended that crash work was being done to clear logs off SH14 on Con's Hill where a fully laden logging truck lost control and logs on the trailer spewed across the road.
