Burglars snapped breaking into hospice again

Brazen thieves cut through a wire fence to steal items from the garage sale area of Hospice House in Warkworth - the second burglary in less than a week.

Warkworth Wellsford Hospice has posted photos and CCTV footage on its Facebook page showing three people loading items into the back of a light-coloured station wagon on August 24 at 2.24am.

It is the second-time this month the area has been broken into at the Woodcocks Rd site. A week earlier a man was filmed covering up one of the cameras.

The charity's Facebook post said the volunteers who spent hours testing and fixing the donated goods had been "very disheartened" by the burglaries.

A Police spokesman confirmed police were investigating the break-ins.
