Traffic's a little slow heading into the city along Auckland's Southern Motorway as families return home after the school holidays.
New Zealand Transport Agency has warned commuters to expect a slower than normal crawl along the motorway between Drury and Papakura this evening, ahead of the first day of school tomorrow.
The agency reported traffic was beginning to build up around 3pm this afternoon, though most of it appears to have been confined to the northbound lane on State Highway One.
Meanwhile those heading over the bridge were being warned to take care as strong wind gusts buffet the structure.
"Please #Drive2TheConditions."
Auckland Transport networks show the congestion had largely cleared by 6pm, though there remained some residual traffic along the Southern Motorway links.
