Police looking for man who stole solar panels

Wellington police are looking for a man who stole various items including solar panels from a house.

The man drove to a Kaiwharawhara house at 3am on Monday where he loaded his van with solar panels as well as timber and plants from the property, police said.

He was described as a male, Caucasian and of slight build.

The vehicle he was in was described as a Mitsubishi L400 van with a spoiler on the back.

Police are asking anyone who recognises the male or the vehicle to contact detective sergeant Richard Gibson on 04 381 2000 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
