A New Zealand soldier who died in Jordan last week has been named as Sergeant Paul Andrew Hartley.
Sergeant Hartley, 30, and from Auckland, died in a non-combat incident in the Middle Eastern country on Thursday, the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) said.
"Plans are underway to repatriate Sergeant Hartley so he can be reunited with his family," the NZDF said in a statement released today.
"When he is repatriated there will be a private ceremony with family and friends in attendance only. "
His death has been referred to the coroner.
