Five teens injured after horse float overturns

Five teenagers on their way to a party in Auckland were injured tonight after the horse float they were travelling in overturned.

A mother was towing the horse float in a ute when the incident happened on Wairere Rd in Waitakere, police said.

Emergency services were alerted about 7.40pm and the five teenagers inside the float received minor injuries as a result of the incident.

Two of the teens were taken to hospital for further checks.
