Woman trapped in car after crash in Dairy Flat

A woman was trapped in her car for over an hour after a crash in Dairy Flat this evening.

Emergency services were called after the car rolled on Durey Rd about 5.30pm, a Fire Service spokeswoman said.

It took firefighters from nearby Silverdale and Albany stations about an hour to free the female occupant from the wreckage.

An ambulance spokeswoman said she was taken to North Shore Hospital with moderate injuries.

Meanwhile, another person was trapped in their car in Birkdale on the North Shore after crashing into bush at 8.18pm.

They were quickly freed by firefighters with cutting equipment and treated for moderate injuries.
