Two women were stabbed by a man they knew during an incident at a house in Flaxmere last night.

Police were called to the Flaxmere Ave address at 8.30pm. When they arrived they found two women in their 20s had received stab wounds. The offender was known to the two victims and was present.

Both females were admitted to hospital and are receiving treatment for their injuries.
They are expected to be released today.

The police investigation is ongoing and will be back at the property today to carry out a scene examination.

The alleged offender was taken into custody. Police said this morning he was also injured and is currently receiving treatment.

No one else is being sought in relation to this incident.
