The family of a motorcyclist killed in Hamilton this week have paid tribute to a loved husband and treasured dad.
Leonard John Periam aka "John", 54, died following a collision with a van on the intersection of Clarence St and Tristram St on Monday afternoon.
The accident happened at about 4.30pm and police say Mr Periam died at the scene.
In a family notice in the Herald today, his family wrote that he was a dearly loved husband and partner to Rhonda for 32 years and a "treasured dad" to the couple's adult daughters Emma, Brooke and Georgia.
"Forever loved. R.I.P. Fly high, Dad," the notice reads.
Mr Periam is also the son of Helen and the late Bruce and brother to Gary Periam.
Daughter Georgia wrote a simple message to her father on Facebook.
"R.I.P, dad. We love you."
Dozens of family members and friends have offered their condolences and thoughts to her and her sisters.
A service to celebrate Mr Periam's life will be held in Hamilton on Friday afternoon.
