Emergency services are at the scene of yet another water emergency.

A 16-year-old boy has been pulled from the water at Tairua, in the Coromandel today.

St John sent two ambulances and a first response unit to the beach about 11.43am, a spokeswoman said.

Paramedics treated the boy at the scene, stabilising him on the beach, she said.

The teen was being transported to Thames Hospital about 12.45pm in a status three, or moderate, condition, she said.

Auckland-Coromandel Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to the scene but stood down, said a spokeswoman for the service.
