New Zealand Rugby League won't take further action following ugly incidents which marred a teen trans-Tasman league match on Thursday.
The match, between the Kiwi under 18s and the Australian Schoolboys at Brisbane's Kougari Oval, was stopped at least three times because of fighting.
The scraps came close to all-in brawls and New Zealand players appeared to be the main protagonists.
New Zealand Rugby League chief executive Phil Holden said there was an intense and relished sporting rivalry between New Zealand and Australia, but the actions of some players in Brisbane had fallen short of expectations.
"We certainly don't condone that kind of behaviour from any of our national teams, however there is no further disciplinary action required for these incidents, as they [were] dealt with during the game."
Australian Schoolboys, captained by Nathan Cleary, son of former Warriors coach Ivan, won the test 30-6 to cement a 2-0 series win. That triumph followed a 70-24 thrashing four days earlier.
It is not the first time matches between long time rivals New Zealand and Australia have turned ugly.
During last year's under 20s match Australian players confronted the New Zealand team as it performed the haka, almost leading to an all-in scrap before the first whistle was blown.
