A man has been arrested after he was involved in a 16 minute long pursuit with police and rammed officers cars - all while his child was in the vehicle.
Police said they noticed a vehicle about 11pm yesterday, travelling the wrong way down Market St in Blenheim.
The driver then failed to stop for police.

The man stopped at a roundabout and police car tried to block his car, but he "rammed" the police car and drove off.
The man then stopped at a petrol station before police blocked his car, and he once again rammed the police car.
Police said they were then able to remove the driver from the car and arrest him.
A child, a loaded firearm, drugs and other weapons were all found in the car, police said.
A 41-year-old man is facing several charges, including failing to stop for red and blue lights, assaulting a person with a blunt instrument, possessing methamphetamine, possessing instruments for the consumption of methamphetamine, and driving in a dangerous manner.
