Power has been restored after more than 900 Auckland households were affected by an outage on the Vector network this evening.
The outage occurred just after 5pm and was affecting 933 households, according to the lines provider's website.
Vector spokeswoman Sandy Hodge said the outage was caused by downed power lines and the company was hoping to have affected households reconnected by 7.30pm.
The outage affected customers in the suburbs of Kingsland and Sandringham, and Vector reported that power had been restored shortly after 7pm.
