Strong winds and rain to pass over North

Northlanders need to take care on the roads as ex-Cyclone June passes across the region tonight and tomorrow, MetService warns.

Heavy rain and winds of up to 120 km/h are forecast for the region tonight and tomorrow.

MetService has issued a severe weather warning for gale-force southwest winds in Northland tomorrow.

The winds could uproot trees, damage structures and cause hazardous driving conditions tomorrow, MetService said.
