Kiwi artist chosen for sculpture

Michael Parekowhai, an associate professor at Auckland's Elam fine arts school, has been controversially picked to create a three-part bronze sculpture for the Queensland Art Gallery.

The World Turns will feature a life-sized up-ended elephant.

Aboriginals have objected to the New Zealander getting the A$1 million ($1.31m) commission, alleging racism.
