A man has been beaten up after a collision in the Auckland suburb of Kelston.
At about 5.50am today a silver Nissan sedan and a White Isuzu van collided at the intersection of West Coast Rd and Great North Rd in west Auckland.
As the 24-year-old driver of the Nissan got out of his car to check on the driver of the other vehicle, he was approached by two males and was seriously assaulted.
The victim sustained significant injuries after being punched and kicked while on the ground. He has since been discharged from Greenlane Hospital but will require further medical treatment.
Police believe the Nissan may have been travelling in the area with a dark coloured sedan prior to the collision.
