The director of an electronics company has pleaded guilty to filming up seven women's skirts as they walked along Queen St in Auckland city.
Steven Edward Graham, 48, admitted modifying a red sports bag so it could hold a camera "for discreet recording".
The Herald on Sunday last week reported that Graham swung the bag towards the women so he could film under their skirts.
According to court documents, he told police he did it "for excitement".
Police had alleged they recovered the recordings after Graham was caught filming up the skirt of a Korean tourist.
A second charge relating to that incident was withdrawn after Graham had earlier pleaded not guilty.
At Auckland District Court on Friday, he pleaded guilty to one charge of making an intimate visual recording of seven women. Their identities were unknown.
According to the Companies Office, Graham is director of SE Graham Electronic Ltd.
The father of two was not answering the door of his home in Grampian Rd, St Heliers, yesterday.
His wife said last week that she was standing by her man.
"He is a good man, a good husband. I am fully aware of what he has done and we are dealing with it as a family."
The Herald on Sunday had applied to photograph Graham in court but Judge Mark Perkins said he wouldn't consider the application.
"I don't allow them (cameras) in my court - especially if defence objects," he said.
Graham will be sentenced in May.
