Petrol prices have hit the $2 a litre mark.
Petrol prices rose 3 cents a litre yesterday, taking increases since September to 22 cents a litre.
Greenstone, which operates Shell stations, was the first to increase prices, with others expected to follow.
The cheapest petrol, 91 octane, was at $1.95.9 a litre yesterday, while 95 Octane tipped over the two dollar mark at $2.02.9 a litre. Diesel rose 4 cents to $1.32.9 a litre.
Part of the 22 cent rise is due to October's GST increase.
