Two men were seriously injured in the explosion in Opouteke Road, near Pakotai of last night.

Emergency Services were called to Opouteke Road, Pakotai near Whangarei following a number of explosions and a fire, about 7.30pm yesterday.
When they arrived they found a shed and a car on fire.
Two people were located with serious burns.
Early indications are the explosion and fire were the result of an accident at a clandestine Methamphetamine lab.
Emergency workers and neighbours who went to the scene were decontaminated and Police forensic specialists are testing the scene which has been placed under guard overnight.
Details of the injured people and their condition is not available.
