Some Tainui beneficiaries want outside intervention in the tribe's affairs as the battle for the executive goes to the Court of Appeal.
Arguments over the validity of a December meeting of the Waikato Raupatu Trustee Company will be heard in the court on April 9.
Since August, two factions on the executive, Te Kaumaarua, have gone to the High Court at least 10 times.
An outspoken Tainui beneficiary, Huntly GP David Gilgen, yesterday called on the Official Assignee and the Registrar of Companies to step in.
He has also sought the intervention of Maori Affairs Minister Parekura Horomia, without success.
Tainui beneficiaries are becoming increasingly worried about the cost of the legal battles, one source putting the cost for the faction led by former tribe legal adviser Shane Solomon at up to $1 million.
Another beneficiary, Angeline Greensill, said Mr Solomon's appeal was vexatious, unnecessary and a waste of money.
