The Kiwis are playing a guessing game with their team for the Four Nations final.
They released a wider 19 man squad today but didn't specify positions.
It's likely that coach David Kidwell will delay naming his final 17 man lineup until two hours before kick-off for Sunday's final (Monday NZT).
Prop Jared Waerea-Hargreaves and winger Jason Nightingale are the notable absentees for the Anfield clash.
Nightingale has lost his place to Warriors utility David Fusitua, who scored two tries in the 18-18 draw with Scotland last week.
Waerea-Hargreaves was always an unlikely starter, after injuring his knee in the victory over England three weeks ago.
It's still unclear if Tohu Harris or Te Maire Martin will start in the No 6 jersey, though the Melbourne Storm back rower would appear to be the favourite.
Shaun Kenny-Dowall will return to the right centre position in place of Gerard Beale, while Fusitua and Solomone Kata will play together on the left edge.
