3. Tutira Planting Day, Tutira Regional Park
Come along and join Maungaharuru-Tangitu Trust and project partners in planting adjacent to lakes Tutira and Waikopiro today from 10am to 1pm. Sausage sizzle and snacks are provided and people should bring suitable clothing, gloves, gumboots, a spade (supply available on the day), and drinking water. Hawke's Bay Secondary School barbershop competition Young Singers In Harmony will be held in the Napier Girls' High School Hall tonight. The competition celebrates the unique a capella style and showcases the passion our young singers have for the craft. Come along to the family friendly competition and be entertained, today from 1pm. Funds from the event go toward supporting the winners' travel to the national competitions.

5. Hawke's Bay Loaded Tough Guy and Gal Challenge, Clifton Station
If you want to get down and dirty and have a whole lot of fun, these unique off-road running events are for you. They are open to male and female competitors 13 years of age and up. Challenge yourself on a course that includes swamp crossings, a spider's web net climb, a crawl under barbed wire, beautiful native bush trails, tunnels, hurdles, a climbing frame and not to mention mud.
