Summer has well and truly arrived for Hawke's Bay - albeit a week late.
A combination of high temperatures and wind is set to be the pattern this week, with temperatures soaring well in to the 20s.
Metservice Meteorologist, Lisa Murray said although it had been a cooler start to the year, temperature's had been about normal.
"Napier is forecast to get to 29C today and 30C tomorrow, with a northwesterly helping warm things up. Hastings is predicted to get up to 31C both today and tomorrow."
She said the next two days would be mostly fine, with light winds and sea breezes.
