A Kiwi reality show is calling for local culinary creatives with a competitive streak.
The latest instalment of My Kitchen Rules is looking for home cooks with a passion for entertaining - and they're particularly hot on drawing men out of the woodwork.
If you fancy yourself a whiz in the kitchen, like the idea of being on telly and could use $100,000 then head down to Hawke's Bay Farmers Market in Hastings on Sunday from 8am to 1pm for a shot at the small screen. Each pair will be interviewed and then asked to fill out a questionnaire.
A crew from the popular TV cooking show are scouting talent for a "battle of the regions" pitting ten teams against one another for cash and regional bragging rights.
Successful contenders will be outgoing, entertaining and Hawke's Bay proud.
Those who are keen to apply but can't make it to the Showgrounds on Sunday can apply online at tvnz.co.nz/mkr-apply, before March 15.
Already the Bay has pumped out some serious talent including sisters Megan Dobson and Kelly du Toit who appeared on the popular reality show last year.
Their cooking philosophy incorporated innovative ideas, organics and whole food, without skimping on taste but unfortunately they were second to be knocked out of the game.
They are on hand this weekend to encourage others to put their hat in the ring for a chance at the $100,000 prize.
Dan Freeman, who appeared alongside Auckland based flatmate Sam Sutherland in the same series, was also born and bred here.
