UPDATE:
Alastair Scott and National have claimed victory in the Wairarapa electorate with all the votes now counted.
The Electoral Commission has called the final result and declared Mr Scott the winner of the seat with a majority vote of 6228.
A total of 34,150 votes were counted with Mr Scott claiming 14,913, while Kieran McAnulty (Labour) received 8685 and Ron Mark (NZ First) received 8006.
National was also the overwhelming favorite with the party vote as 17,966 people voted for the them.
