Danny Lee is in danger of missing the cut at the British Open after hitting an ugly triple-bogey at the pat four 16th overnight.
After a three-hour rain delay to start the second round at St Andrews, Lee was one-under for the round - and even-par for the tournament - before coming unstuck at the 16th.
He followed with a bogey at the par-four 17th and birdie at the home hole to card a two-over 74, leaving him at three-over for the week and trailing on-course leader, Englishman Danny Willett, by 11 strokes.
The other Kiwi in the British Open field, Ryan Fox, who carded an even-par 72 in his first round at St Andrews, will tee off in the last group at 7.27pm local time (6.27am Saturday NZT). Fox will not finish his second round on Friday, returning early on a third day.
