Selma Blair was removed from a plane on a stretcher after a mid-air freak out.

The incident took place yesterday when the 43-year-old was flying from Cancun to Los Angeles.

According to TMZ, the Cruel Intentions star was seated in first class and was seen mixing medication with alcohol.

Witnesses told the site that the actress started crying and ranting during the flight, saying things like, "He burns my private parts" and, "He beats me, he's going to kill me".

It's not known who Blair was referring to.

A source told People magazine that, "She was met by paramedics at LAX as soon as her plane arrived," and was taken to a local hospital.

The actress had flown to Mexico four days earlier with her four-year-old son to celebrate Father's Day weekend with her ex, fashion designer Jason Bleick.

Selma Blair was most recently seen in the TV series The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story in which she played Kris Jenner.

She also recently starred alongside Susan Sarandon, Sharon Stone and Courteney Cox in the film, Mothers and Daughters.
