A Twitter user with an unfortunate handle has caused a mishap on Australian TV after his crude message about the country's Prime Minister, Tony Abbott, flashed up on the screen.
As a guest on the current affairs show Q&A responded to a question, a user with the handle "Abbott loves anal" appeared, igniting a mixed reaction on social media.
"What a disgraceful Twitter handle for Q&A to broadcast!" Federal member for Lindsay, Fiona Scott wrote.
However, other Twitter users saw a funny side to the tweet and shared their delight following the mistake.
"Your Twitter handle is the winner of the internet for this week. Possibly the month. Well done sir," one amused user posted.
The owner of the crude Twitter handle thanked his supporters following the show for their 'kind messages.'
"Thank you all for the kind messages. Long live freedom of speech. Long live Qanda," he wrote.
Others were not as supportive, with many believing that "heads will roll" at the broadcaster ABC following the obvious mistake.
Twitter users are encouraged to be involved during each program by sharing their thoughts on the panelists responses or audience questions.
"We can't possibly read all of the tweets during an episode of Q&A, so we catch a random selection of what has been written," Q&A's website says.
"We don't promise to choose 'the best' tweets to use onscreen, but we do promise to do our best to show a small selection of tweets to inform, challenge and entertain our broader audience."
